Three areas where we all struggle to trust God
Teaching
Most of us would say we trust God. Yet if we are honest, there are areas of life we quietly keep under our own control. Here are three of the most common, and what Scripture says about each.
1. Our provision
When money is tight, worry comes easily. Jesus reminds us that our Father feeds the birds of the air and clothes the lilies of the field, and that we are worth far more to Him (Matthew 6:25–33). Trusting God with provision means seeking His Kingdom first and believing He will add what we need.
2. Our future
Uncertainty about work, health or direction can steal our peace. Yet God’s plans for us are plans for a hope and an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11). We may not see the whole path, but we can trust the One who does.
3. Our relationships
We often try to fix people, protect ourselves or hold on to hurt. Trusting God here means praying for those we love, forgiving as we have been forgiven, and allowing Him to work in hearts we cannot change.
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5
